My Journey.......
Before I am a herbalist, or an employee, a friend or anything, I am a mother. I have a nineteen year old and a five year old, both boys. I do everything I can to encourage and grow their dreams, just as I am finally doing for myself. It took me way too long to realize that I will never be happy if I am living and growing someone else's dreams. Be it in a job or a relationship. I have finally decided follow my calling.
My journey into the healing powers of plants began about 15 years ago. I didn't dive fully into it until 2020, when I decided it was time to further my education. I wanted to be able to take care of myself, my family and my community. After countless visits to the doctor for both myself and loved ones, never getting any real answers for anything, EVER, I decided, I had to take control of my own health. So, I became a "Herbalist" through a local CMH. I am now studying to become a "Clinical Master Herbalist” for which I earned a scholarship! I am learning all of the body systems, and the various ailments and nutritional needs of each. I have helped many people with varying ailments from, a torn ACL, skin rashes, colds, flu, sleeping problems and more. I utilize open sourced remedies developed by doctors, naturopaths, herbalists, nutritionists and of course, my own remedies. My personal "herbal hero's" include; Dr. Christopher, Rosemary Gladstar, Dr. Sharol Marie Tilgner, Dr. Herny Ealy, Matthew Wood and so many more. These doctors and amazing healers have paved a path so beautiful, insightful, knowledgeable and full of experience, I just had to mention their names in gratitude that they have shared their wisdom with the world. I highly recommend their work to anyone and everyone I can.
My mission
My mission is to be knowledgeable, experienced and proficient in the art of herbal medicine. To bring affordable remedies to my family, loved ones and community. To never stop learning and using that knowledge to better those around me. To earn the trust of those who seek my remedies. To leave every person, place and thing better than how I found them.
My vision
My vision is that people would see the value of nutrition and herbal medicine and abandon petroleum based chemicals that are so obviously miss-named, "medicine." I dream of the return of this once common knowledge that health, healing or cures can't be acquired with "pill." There is no such thing as a pharmaceutical that does not cause harm in one way or another. I dream of the day when people turn to natural health before they have damaged their body further with western medicine, only turning to natural remedies as a last attempt. Healing begins and ends with you and what you put in, on and around your body.
My Team
It's only me and my 2 boys. I have a few male friends who help me test some products that I just don't have the "equipment" needed to test them:) My 5 year old especially loves to go foraging, help weighing out herbs and he helps add them to jars. He is also great at checking that Mom is doing things correctly or that at least, I am not without company. My oldest will help if I ask, however, he is chasing his own dreams.
